Woodbridge, ON – Nov. 28, 2001 — Critical Reach, Inc., a German provider of web-centric software solutions for optimizing manufacturing spare parts and service operations, and Engineering.com Inc., the Canadian developer and owner of the www.engineering.com website, have formed a strategic alliance.

The agreement will enable Woodbridge, Ont., based Engineering.com to deliver Critical Reach’s service chain optimization software to the global engineering community. This is the third and largest strategic partnership Critical Reach has signed since its introduction to North America in the fall.

Engineering.com and Rand Worldwide of Mississauga, Ont., which uses the website as a sales and marketing tool, will resell the Critical Reach Service Suite, software that provides real-time access to corporate data such as procurement data, 3D/2D CAD, bills of materials, PDM, service and maintenance manuals, and parts catalogues through any web browser, typically on a laptop or wireless hand-held device.

Critical Reach’s Interactive Drilldown capabilities allow users to obtain accurate and up-to-date procurement, troubleshooting, diagnosis, installation and spare parts ordering information. This enables faster diagnosis and problem resolution, thereby improving service time and field productivity.
