Woodlands, TX — Aug. 28, 2001 — Supply chain management is the focus of a seminar on Oct. 22-26 at the Thomas A. Read Centre for Distribution Research and Education in Woodlands, Texas. The seminar will focus on the principles of supply chain management, methods of improving the quality of service, and the use of information technology to drive continuous improvement.
The seminar will reflect changes in industry that see industrial distribution not just as the moving of goods, but as the delivery of value along the entire supply chain, according to the organizers.
The 4 1/2-day seminar is geared to distributors and manufacturers with at least two years of industry experience. It is the fifth module of the Certificate in Distribution Management (CDM) program.
