Mississauga, ON — Ray Lavender has been appointed to the newly created position of Marketing Communications Manager for Snap-on Tools of Canada Ltd., moving from the Snap-on/Sun Equipment Division to oversee increased sales and marketing communications initiatives by Snap-on in Canada.
“This is a new opportunity for me in the Snap-on Canadian organization and I’m very excited about it. We’re going to be making every effort to enhance our sales, product and marketing communications with our Franchise Dealer Force and customers so that each of our stakeholder groups benefits from knowledge of Snap-on and Sun products that can help them build more profitable businesses,” he said.
In his new role, Lavender is responsible for the management of a wide range of internal and external communications, advertising and product placement activities that support all of Snap-on’s business units in Canada.
Snap-on business operations in Canada include the mobile Franchise Automotive Dealer Force, the Snap-on/Sun Equipment Division, Snap-on Industrial, Training Solutions/A Snap-on Services Group, Internet Sales and Snap-on’s new Retail Store operation at Sherway Gardens Shopping Centre in Toronto.
Most recently, Lavender was a Product Training Manager with the Snap-on/Sun Equipment Division for three years. Prior to that he worked in the field sales organization for several years as a Technical Equipment Specialist in Western Canada.
