Toronto — The Association of Workers’ Compensation Boards of Canada plans to hold a Public Forum on Knowledge Transfer Nov. 18-20, 2001, at Toronto’s Westin Harbour Castle Hotel.
The workplace is changing, introducing new risks, hazards, injuries and diseases, all of which are clearly preventable. The conference will explore how to more effectively transfer research knowledge and best practices in health and safety into the hands of workplaces, policy makers, clinicians and others, as well as how to motivate companies to improve their health and safety performance.
A complementary objective of the forum is to engage the Canadian public and raise awareness about the significant toll workplace injuries, diseases and deaths have on Canada’s workforce and the country’s productivity.
