April 4, 2001 — The Markham, Ont., operations of Emerson Power Transmission will be relocating to a larger facility in the same city. “The addition of McGill, Kopflex, Rollway and U.S. Gearmotor products to the traditional Morse and Browning lines has added significantly to our growth over the past few years,” reports Emerson general manager Colin Figgens. “This move will enable us to accommodate even more growth.”
The new facility will be located at the Kennedy Rd. exit off Hwy 407 in the Markham area. The relocation will take place in two phases: First, the Distribution Centre will move in late April, and second, the Customer Service and Support Groups in will go to the new building in mid-summer.
Telephone and fax numbers will remain unchanged, says Figgens. With recent systems upgrades and various e-business initiatives, including a web site launch in February (www.emerson-ept.com), Emerson expects to offer improved efficiencies and customer satisfaction in the future.
