Stamford, CT – Newport Electronics Inc. was merged into Omega Engineering Inc. at the start of 2014.  Newport has been a supplier of high-precision test, measurement, process control and automation instrumentation for more than four decades, having begun manufacturing electronic instrumentation in 1965.

As a part of Omega, the company will do business under the Omega name. Newport will continue to produce products such as signal conditioners, transmitters and controllers. The Shop On-line feature of newportUS.com has been closed. Online users can now go directly to http://www.omega.com to place online orders. The http://www.newportUS.com website will remain as a resource for manuals, specifications, mechanical information and more.

Founded in 1962, Omega has grown to become an established global company in the technical marketplace. It offers over 100,000 state-of-the-art solutions for measurement of temperature, pressure, flow, level, strain, humidity, pH and conductivity, as well as a comprehensive line of data acquisition, electric heating and custom engineered products.
