DUBLIN

Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/cc62jp/assessment_of) has announced the addition of the “Assessment of China’s Market for Stationary Air Compressors” report to their offering.

The domestic market of stationary air compressors in China is estimated to be valued at over RMB 23.3 Bn as of the year end of 2014.

This study provides an in-depth understanding of the stationary air compressor market in mainland China. The report covers the overall market as well as providing detailed analysis on the three types of stationary air compressor sold in the Chinese market: stationary screw, piston and centrifugal air compressors.

The report is based on a study of the production, sales, distribution and application of stationary air compressors across China, and in their predominant end-user industries (target market). Included is a quantitative and qualitative assessment of the market’s size, trends, development, key participants and opportunities.

The report features in-depth analysis of the three stationary air compressor products, screw, piston and centrifugal SAC and finds that in 2015 market growth will shrink significantly due to a slowdown in overall economic growth. Manufacturing will still remain the major end-user, but sources of growth are few, with the printing industry being the sole end-user to experience larger growth in 2015 compared to 2014. Other opportunities exist in light industry such as food and beverage production led by a growing wealthier consumer base as well as pharmaceuticals. However these small bright spots of growth will not arrest the overall decline the SAC industry. Growth is likely to return after 2016.

In a growing market base, domestic suppliers have gained market shares in the screw SAC segment as customers gradually adopt the replacement of piston SAC. Multinational suppliers would need to focus on products with oil-free, variable speed and other advanced features, which are critical to reinforcing their competitive position in the chemical and light industries. This is especially important given domestic suppliers are facing excess capacity in their mid and lower end products, which will lead towards a focus on price competition.
