Eaton Appoints Mary Kim Elkins, Senior Vice President, Taxes; John Mitchell to Retire February 29

DUBLIN

Power management company Eaton (NYSE:ETN) today announced that Mary Kim Elkins has been appointed senior vice president, Taxes, effective March 1, 2016. She succeeds John Mitchell, who will retire February 29. Elkins will report to Richard Fearon, vice chairman and chief financial and planning officer.

“John has been an exceptional leader of our tax function for almost two decades,” Fearon said. “He has built strong processes and developed a talented team. We wish him the very best in retirement.”

Elkins joined Eaton in 2006 as director, Tax Strategy, for the Fluid Power group. She previously served as vice president, Operational Tax Strategy and most recently as vice president, International Tax Strategy. Prior to joining Eaton, Elkins held tax roles of increasing responsibility at Deloitte & Touche; Carr, Riggs & Ingram; and Cardinal Health.

“Mary Kim has played a key role in our tax function during the last ten years,” said Fearon. “She has extensive experience in all aspects of tax and deep knowledge of Eaton’s businesses. I am excited to have Mary Kim as the new leader of our tax function.”

Elkins is a certified public accountant and member of the Ohio Bar. She received a bachelor’s of accounting degree from Troy State University and a law degree from Capital University.
