Bestronics to Host the Silicon Valley Agile Manufacturing Economic Strategy Meeting

May 4, 2015 | By Business Wire News

SAN JOSE, Calif.

Bestronics will host the first annual Silicon Valley Agile Manufacturing Economic Strategy meeting at its San Jose headquarters on May 7, 2015. Identified as an important and cutting-edge industry for the valley, agile manufacturing has been targeted by the Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI) of the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce for expansion and support.

Executives from Bestronics and other leading technology companies will join officials from the City of San Jose and other bay area agencies to convene an action team of business leaders to identify actions focused on growing and supporting this dynamic industry.

“This is a tangible step in the return of innovative manufacturing to the Silicon Valley,” said Bestronics CEO Nat Mani. “We are expecting the who’s who of local industry to attend. We’ll invite them to share their successes and identify the obstacles they’ve had in finding the right manufacturing support here. Manufacturing is the other half of the art of product development. Local collaboration with public agency support will ensure Silicon Valley’s place as the world’s dominant technology producer.”

REDI is a multi-stakeholder public-private project which launched in January 2015. The Agile Manufacturing meeting is one of its first initiatives in its goal of growing Silicon Valley’s economy by expanding the presence and prosperity of regional companies as well as attracting new companies to the area.

Bestronics’ unique, collaborative partnership model provides early-stage companies with new product introduction (NPI) expertise using full-service manufacturing facilities in preparation for launches, as well as cost optimization for legacy products which require a lot of tribal knowledge and IP protection. “There’s no longer a need to go offshore to manufacture these sensitive and critical products,” said Mani. “Local companies like ours provide both the variety of services and the manufacturing expertise necessary to keep manufacturing here in Silicon Valley at both ends of product life.”
