Nikki Haley who's trip to the Paris Air Show and a meeting in Germany with Schaeffler's Maria-Elisabeth Schaeffler has so far yielded 440 jobs and $78 million in investment for the area. I see that Schaeffler also train young people for the future, it's a shame that more companies don't realise the importance of this as here lies the companies future. I'm also relieved to see that Schaeffler are continuing to maintain a strong presence in Europe as this helps to give confidence for an EU recovery. Although Schaeffler employ more than 74,000 people worldwide, they employ more than 29,000 in Germany and another 22,000 in the rest of Europe excluding Germany and that includes a much needed 315 jobs in the UK where I am from.
