PEMAC's GTA Chapter event includes tour of wastewater plant

Toronto – The Plant Engineering and Maintenance Association of Canada (PEMAC) will hold its GTA Chapter Event on Aug. 15, 2014 at the GE Booth Wastewater Treatment Facility (also known as Lakeview), reports chapter president Nigel D'Souza. The facility is located on the shore of Lake Ontario in Mississauga, ON.

Here is the schedule for the event:

- 11:00 am Introduction and PEMAC update

- 11:30 am lunch and networking (sponsored by the Ontario Clean Water Agency)

- 12:15 pm GE Booth WWTF overview presentation

- 12:30 pm Rotation/concurrent session (A/B): Tour of control room and Plant (A)/Networking (B)

- 2:30 pm Closing.

There is no cost to attend. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) for the tour includes a hardhat, reflective vest, safety boots and safety glasses. (Since there are limited quantities of PPE available at the site, guests are requested to bring their own.)
