GE targets industrial customers in Canada by adding new sales agents

Mississauga, ON - GE’s Industrial Solutions business plans to strengthen its partnerships with authorized channel partners across Canada to better serve industrial customers. This new arrangement enables authorized GE Channel Partners to serve the industrial market directly with GE’s electrical distribution products.

Industrial customers will now have a simpler way to access industrial products with one-stop product coordination and local branch support for all their project needs.

"This move reinforces our commitment to strategic channel partners to develop expertise and resources in key geographies,” said Adrian Thomas, Canadian region executive for GE’s Industrial Solutions business. “This is the perfect time to approach the industrial market segment through local channels."

In addition, to further strengthen its sales operations across Canada, GE has announced the official appointment of two new sales agencies for its electrical distribution products.

Herb Yang and Kevin Parlin bring a wealth of experience spanning more than 37 years of selling GE’s industrial electrical solutions and electrical distribution and control products. Most recently, Yang was the Western Canada sales director for GE, and Parlin was an industrial sales manager for GE in BC.

Gentech System Solutions Inc., led by Ajay Gupta, will provide sales coverage for Ontario and Alberta. Ajay Gupta brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the electrical distribution marketplace. Most recently, he was the Canadian channel director for GE Canada. He is a graduate of Columbia Southern University (CSU) with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer technology. Gupta also holds an industrial electronics degree in engineering and is an MBA graduate from CSU.

The appointment of these teams at Specialized Power Solutions and Gentech demonstrates GE’s continued commitment to expand its electrical distribution business in Canada by increasing its presence and profile within the commercial and industrial markets.
