Chicoutimi, QC - Applied Industrial Technologies has acquired the business of Solutions Industrielles Chicoutimi. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Also in the same week, AIT acquired Spécialités Industrielles Harvey of Quebec City, QC.
Solutions Industrielles Chicoutimi provides bearings, power transmission products and repair services through one location in Chicoutimi, QC. The company serves a broad base of customers, including sawmills, food, cement, agriculture, OEMs and machine shops.
Yves Gauthier, former owner of Solutions Industrielles Chicoutimi, will continue with the organization, reporting to Mike Allen, vice-president for the Eastern Canadian operations of Applied. The business will continue to run under its current operating name.
