Wrenches offer leverage without striking them

Gray Hand Tool Sales Inc. is a family-owned company that has been manufacturing industrial-grade hand tools in Canada since 1912. The company currently employs approximately 300 in its Brampton, Ont., headquarters and has five plants throughout southwestern Ontario.

One product line is its Strike-Free Leverage Wrenches, which deliver the torque needed to remove large nuts and bolts without subjecting the user to the safety hazards of striking-face wrenches or requiring access to a power source. The extra leverage required to remove stubborn nuts and screws from 1 in. to 3-1/8 in. (27 mm to 80 mm) in size is produced by attaching a separate 24-in. or 36-in. long tubular handle to the end of the appropriate size wrench.

Eliminating the need to strike wrenches with a hammer or other object provides a safer, more controlled working environment and removes the possibility of sparking, which can be extremely hazardous in flammable atmospheres. These wrenches are also ideal for use in remote areas that do not have access to compressed air or electricity to drive powered sockets.
