Lincoln Electric changes its weld fume control product manufacturing

December 7, 2016 | By MRO Magazine

Cleveland – Lincoln Electric announced that it has brought manufacturing for its weld fume extraction equipment and systems in-house, offering greater control over the manufacturing process. Because all fume removal solutions now are produced by Lincoln Electric, customers will have access to a complete line of products designed to be simple, reliable, effective and affordable.

“World class manufacturing processes and testing procedures are the fundamental building blocks for quality Lincoln Electric products. Controlling the entire manufacturing process ensures that the fume extraction systems meet our quality standards and are the most reliable products for our customers,” said Deanna Postlethwaite, Business Unit Manager, Environmental Systems for Lincoln Electric. “These solutions are vital to improving our customers’ jobsite safety.”

As evidence of its focus on quality manufacturing, beginning Dec. 1, 2016, Lincoln Electric is offering a three-year warranty on fume extraction products, compared to the one- or two-year warranty offered by competitive manufacturers.

Lincoln Electric’s weld fume extraction products will be made in the U.S.A. of U.S and foreign content, resulting in quicker lead times and improved service and support, another sign of the company’s commitment to this product line. The first of these to launch will be Lincoln Electric’s portable, mobile and stationary fume extraction products — designed specifically for ease of setup, operation and maintenance.
