Distributors and Vendors Raise Funds for Charity

Niagara Falls, ON — IDI Independent Distributors Inc., a network of Canadian distributors specializing in bearings, power transmission products, fluid power products, industrial supplies and safety supplies, held its annual general meeting in Niagara Falls, Ont., June 12-13, 2007.

For the first time, the group’s two-day Supplier Summit was included as part of the meeting. Distributors and vendor members participated in 22 individual meetings over one-and-a-half days.

IDI’s platinum, gold and silver suppliers also were invited to join distributor members for IDI’s annual golf tournament on June 13 at the Grand Niagara Golf & Spa Resort; 120 golfers participated in the event.

Funds raised during the golf tournament were donated to charities. The Diabetes Foundation of Hope, a charity established in the memory of former IDI member Joe Pasternak of Fluid Hose & Coupling Inc., Mississauga, Ont., received a cheque for $5,000, and the Mississauga chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society was presented with a cheque for $10,000.
