Norman Clegg has been appointed executive director of the Plant Engineering and Maintenance Association of Canada (PEMAC), reports association president David Taggart, P. Eng.

Clegg is a long-term member of the association and most recently served as secretary/treasurer. He has more than 40 years of industrial experience and has held senior positions in physical asset management and consulting, manufacturing, operations and industrial distribution.

As executive director, Clegg will be responsible for providing the management and coordination of all PEMAC business activities in Canada, and will report to the president and board of directors.

PEMAC is a non-profit organization created for and by plant and facility engineering and maintenance practitioners in Canada. Its mission is to improve the professionalism, performance, safety and public recognition of the profession by providing specialized training and certification (MMP — Maintenance Management Professional), by offering forums and conferences for the exchange of information, and by acting as the public voice for the members and profession in Canada.
