Paris – Trescal, the international specialist in calibration services, expands its footprint to Mexico with the acquisition of Kalibrixcal, the Mexican subsidiary of its recent acquisition in Germany, Kalibrix GmbH.
Based in Queretaro, Kalibrix is a One-Stop-Shop laboratory EMA accredited in Dimensional, Pressure, Torque, Force and Temperature. The company employs 18 people and is mostly active in the Aerospace and Automotive sectors. Stephan Krauss – co-founder and current General Manager – will stay in its current
position to accompany the growth of the business in the coming years.
Guillaume Caroit, Trescal Deputy CEO, said: “After Brazil in 2015, stepping in Mexico fits perfectly with our strategy to expand our footprint in Latin America. Kalibrixcal is an ideal first step in this country as it is close to many of our key customers.”
This deal was completed with the support of Trescal’s majority shareholder, Ardian, the independent private investment company. This is the sixteenth build-up following Ardian’s takeover in July 2013.
