2016 SMRP Body of Knowledge webinar series featuring Ramesh Gulati

Toronto – The SMRP Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Shared Interest Group (SIG) is launching its 2016 Body of Knowledge (BoK) webinar series later this month. The series will cover topics in the industry as they relate to the six pillars of the SMRP BoK. Each webinar will be hosted by Ramesh Gulati, CMRP, CMT, CAMA, who brings over 50 years in the maintenance and reliability profession as an expert in asset management. The first webinar will be held on April 20 at 1 p.m. EDT, and will run every month through October 2016.

This presentation describes two kinds of activities that apply to the equipment and processes for which the maintenance and reliability professional is accountable. First are those activities used to assess the current capabilities of the equipment and processes in terms of their reliability, availability, maintainability and criticality. Second are the activities used to select and apply the most appropriate maintenance practices, so that the equipment and processes continue to deliver their intended capabilities in the safest and most cost-effective manner.

About the Presenter
Ramesh Gulati, CMRP, CMRT, CAMA, CRL, CRE, has over 50 years in the maintenance and reliability profession. Gulati is an expert in asset management, process improvement and change management, and he was awarded CMRP of the Year in 2014. Gulati is currently the Asset Management & Reliability Planning Manager at Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC). He supports in the development of effective maintenance plans and in implementing long-term reliability improvement initiatives for DoD’s $10B R&D facility.
