Montreal-based Ficodis acquires repair firm Fixaclous

Montreal – Montreal-based Ficodis has completed the acquisition of Fixaclous (Centre de l’outillage Granby), a company specializing in the sales and repair of pneumatic staple and nail guns, as well as power tools and equipment. Founded in Granby in 2000, Fixaclous will become the sixth Ficodis point of sale in Canada.

“We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Fixaclous aboard, as a company that has proven its strength and competence for the past 15 years. Given the nature of its operations, Fixaclous will be a perfect fit to complement our portfolio,” said Ficodis president Christophe Bévillard.

“This acquisition, which happens to be our second transaction in Granby, will also firm up our presence in the region, while expanding our customer base and the range of products and services we can offer,” Bévillard added, referring to the 2012 acquisition of the distributor Fournitures Del-Par, specialists in the field of abrasives and cutting tools.

François Nadeau, president of Fixaclous, says that “joining Ficodis will allow me to access the benefits offered by the Group and move on to another phase of growth, while continuing to run my company.”

In view of the overall similarities between the two companies, the Fixaclous management team will remain in place to ensure continuity in the company’s operations and maintain its reputation for outstanding customer service.
