Call for Proposals: 2015-2016 Occupational Health and Safety Prevention and Innovation Program

The Ministry of Labour is pleased to announce the first call for proposals for its Occupational Health and Safety Prevention and Innovation Program (OHSPIP).


OHSPIP’s objective is to support workplace-focused innovation projects and collaborative partnerships that lead to improvements in occupational health and safety in Ontario.

Program overview
Project duration: 12 months
Funding available: up to $250,000 per proposal (non-renewable)

Program Streams: The OHSPIP consists of three streams:

Stream 1: Prevention Opportunities
The Prevention Opportunities stream will invest in proposals focused on initiatives geared to youth, families and training.

Stream 2: Innovation Opportunities
The Innovation stream will invest in proposals focused on systems and technology/engineering.

Stream 3: Safety Culture Opportunities
The Safety Culture Opportunities stream will invest in proposals focused on people, communities and families.
