The 169 employee facility, which recently celebrated its two-year anniversary, manufactures cold-end components for the emissions control system on the Ford Edge, Ford Flex and Lincoln MKX.
To achieve Q1 certification, Ford suppliers must meet stringent criteria, including: International Organization of Standardization (TS 16949 & ISO 14001) certification; proper implementation of quality operating and management systems, as well as environmental management systems and customer endorsements.
“Raising the Ford Q1 flag on this facility is not only a celebration of Faurecia’s growth and performance, but also recognition of Brampton’s contributions to the future of our industry and of the partnership and commitment that Faurecia shares with our customers,” said Mark Stidham, President of Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies (FECT) in North America.
Stidham added that the achievement is a testament to the effectiveness of the Faurecia Excellence System (FES), which ensures that excellence and continuous improvement in quality, cost and delivery are instilled in every stage of the manufacturing process.
“We strive to consistently implement customer specifications, regulatory requirements, best practices, quality indicators and Faurecia’s own internal requirements as part of the FES,” Stidham said. “Ultimately, the FES enables us to actively involve employees at all levels of the organization, forge partnerships with suppliers, and consistently deliver quality products on time for our customers.”
