Chicago, IL – The Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) will hold its Spring Leaders Conference March 2-4, 2014, in Nevada at the Vdara Hotel & Spa at Aria Las Vegas.

The conference begins with several committee meetings for the association’s volunteers and is followed by a General Education Session. Leaders of all levels from any of PTDA member companies are invited to participate in this session, which features an in-depth exploration on improving productivity and communication within today’s age-diverse workplace.

Robert W. Wendover, managing director of the Center for Generational Studies, will teach practical strategies for fostering trust between age groups. Attendees will learn techniques for establishing a cross-generational culture that will make their companies and staff more cohesive.

On March 4, executives can hone their management and relationship-building skills. An attendee favourite facilitator, Randy Disharoon, director of global strategic accounts for Rexnord Industries LLC, can be expected to challenge attendees to live up to their leadership potential.

Focusing on personal growth, talent retention, team development and creating a legacy for the next generation, the Leadership Development Conference provides an environment, particularly for up-and-coming young executives like those in the PTDA Next Generation group, to sharpen their leadership skills.

Those who register for the Leadership Development Conference can attend the General Education Session at no additional charge. Or, participants may register to attend just the General Education Session portion of the conference.

This conference immediately precedes the triennial IFPE tradeshow in Las Vegas, which takes place March 4-8. IFPE is an exposition for the fluid power, power transmission and motion control industries, and is co-located with Conexpo-Con/Agg. PTDA members receive significant discounts for educational sessions at these tradeshows. For more information, visit www.ptda.org/IFPE.

PTDA Leadership Development Conference details are available at www.ptda.org/SpringLeadersConference. Registration is open to all employees of PTDA member companies.
