Brampton, ON — Dings Company has entered into a partnership with Advantage Sales Network Inc. (ASN) to market its direct-acting spring set brakes in Canada. The Milwaukee, WI, company is a manufacturer of brakes that typically attach to motors to stop and hold a load.
As the company’s rep for Canada, ASN, based in Brampton, ON, will help increase Dings market share and sales through its offices in Brampton, Edmonton, Calgary and Montreal.
“Partnering with Advantage Sales is a perfect fit,” said Jeff Berger, sales manager at Dings. “Dings brakes will complement their existing products and will give us a larger presence throughout Canada. Advantage Sales will help us establish stocking centres that will better service our Canadian customers.”
Dings has been manufacturing direct-acting spring set brakes since 1953. Their unique operator design uses a small air gap that engages the brake. This design eliminates linkages and wear points seen in other brake manufacturer’s products.
Dings has brakes for all applications. Its torque range is from 3/8 lb-ft to 450 lb-ft and the brakes can be used for motors from 1/15 hp to 150 hp. Enclosure styles are NEMA 2-IP41, NEMA 4/4X-IP56, hazardous location and marine/military brakes. All Dings brakes mount to a standard NEMA profile.
