Aerial work platform now CSA/ANSI compliant

JLG Industries Inc. announced its new FS60 LiftPod is ANSI A92.3-2006/CSA B354.1-04 compliant. The FS60 is the newest addition to the LiftPod line of aerial work platforms, which combines the portability of a ladder with the stability of a work platform. The unit’s 30-inch base enables operators to move the LiftPod through doorways without having to take it apart. With an enclosed platform, 12-foot working height and six-foot standing height, it allows workers to move hands-free in a 360-degree range of motion.

“We listened to our customers and developed the FS60 in response to their requests for a model that can fit through doorways and under eight foot ceilings,” said Randy Marzicola, director – channel development, JLG Industries. “We also added casters to the back wheels, which further improves the mobility and portability of the lift, while increasing efficiency for our customers.”

Like other units in the line, the FS60 consists of three lightweight components, each weighing about 50 pounds, for simple assembly — less than 30 seconds — and disassembly. The LiftPod can be carried and moved by one person. When disassembled, the LiftPod fits in the back of a pick-up truck, van or SUV for portability between work sites.

The LiftPod is powered by an 18-volt drill or an optional power pack for increased flexibility and affordability. It also includes an attachable work tray that holds up to 33 pounds of tools and materials and has a 330-pound rated total capacity. The FS-60 LiftPod is designed with an aircraft quality aluminum mast and powder-coated steel base for added strength and durability. Featuring an inward opening gate and manual emergency descent, the LiftPod was engineered with the customer in mind. Ideal for the educational facility sector, healthcare applications and office buildings, the versatile FS60 will be priced under US$2,000.
