Warren, MI — Industrial Control Repair Inc. (ICR), headquartered in Warren, MI and with offices in Guelph, ON (ICR Canada Corp.), received the Honda Supplier of the Year award for its superior delivery of MRO Asset Management and industrial repair services.

ICR specializes in repairing industrial equipment, providing asset management solutions and selling refurbished industrial equipment to customers around the world.

ICR received the honour at the annual Honda of America Manufacturing MRO Supplier Conference held in Marysville, OH, May 6, 2008. Out of about 100 suppliers that were invited to this year’s conference, eight of those suppliers were chosen to receive Supplier of the Year awards. These awards recognize companies with exceptional performance in improving efficiency, reducing waste and creating innovative solutions.

“Honda has consistently set high quality standards for its product and suppliers. We are proud to be recognized as their Supplier of the Year,” said Paul Gutierrez, president of ICR.

“Over the last couple years, ICR has spent a lot of time and resources developing innovative, cost-saving solutions to help our customers lower their operating costs, improve efficiency and reduce waste. We’re very pleased that Honda has recognized our efforts,” he added.

In addition to winning the Honda Supplier Of The Year award, ICR has also been awarded a contract to manage the MRO Asset Management Program at the Honda Manufacturing Plant in Indiana.

“Being asked to handle the Asset Management Program for Honda of Indiana speaks volumes for the automaker’s faith in our ability to deliver superior service,” said David Young, ICR vice-president of sales.

“The program, which is already being utilized at a number of the automaker’s plants in North America, will help Honda of Indiana track all warrantees for repairs and new parts, provide complete life cycle management for all of the company’s spare parts and help them build historical data from the time the part is purchased, to the time it goes out for repair,” Young said.

ICR is an authorized service center for a growing number of OEMs, a Microsoft Gold Partner and a National Instruments Alliance Partner. For more information, visit www.industrialcontrolrepair.com.
