Brampton, ON — Gray Hand Tool Sales Inc., a Canadian manufacturer of industrial-grade hand tools since 1912, has changed its name to Gray Tools Canada Inc. in order to reflect the company’s evolution to a diverse supplier of products and services. The name change occurs at a time when the company is celebrating its 95th year serving Canadian industry and the trades.

“In the early days, we made sockets and wrenches,” says Alex Gray, chairman of Gray Tools and third-generation company owner. “We now sell toolboxes, measuring tools, eyebolts, chain hoists and many other products, with more being introduced all the time. We’ve become more than just a hand tool company.”

The company currently supplies over 5,000 products, about 65% of them having Canadian content. Manufacturing and distribution takes place at the company’s 105,000 sq ft facility and head office in Brampton, Ont. The company also operates a 10,000 sq ft distribution centre in Edmonton.

“One of the main factors contributing to our success is our industry-leading customer service and delivery,” says Gray. “We ship 90% of our orders the same day and 97% within 72 hours.”

“Our team has a very clear vision of our future direction and business objectives,” says Michael Wilson, president. “The company’s mission is to supply products and services that exceed the expectations of customers. The name change compliments our new business direction and reflects our ongoing initiatives.

“We are extremely proud of our Canadian roots and longevity. We hope to serve Canadians for another 95 years,” adds Wilson.
