Orlando, FL — The Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) has elected John R. Neal, vice-president of marketing, Root, Neal & Company of Buffalo, N.Y., as president for 2005. He will take up his post in January, replacing Don R. Latham, president of Canadian Bearings Ltd., Mississauga, Ont., who will become immediate past president.
The Chicago-based association’s elections were held during its annual Industry Summit in Orlando, Fla., on Oct. 15, 2004.
Also elected to the board were:
First vice-president Andrew H. Nations, Bearings & Drives Inc.; second vice-president
Jeffrey H. Pickelman, Northern Industrial Supply Inc.; treasurer John Masek, Bearing Service Inc.; Manufacturer Council chair William R. Demmel, Martin Sprocket & Gear Inc., and Manufacturer Council vice-chair Richard A. White, Flexible Steel Lacing Co.
PTDA directors for 2005 will include Stephen Philpott, Bearing Belt Chain Co. Inc.; R. P. (Joe) Racine, Gopher Bearing Co. Inc.; Fernando Rojas, Rodamientos Rovi C.A.; and Drew Tucci, Eastern Bearings Inc.; Helen Yost, The Rowland Company.
Immediate past chair of the Manufacturer Council is James F. Lamb, Drives Incorporated; Manufacturer Council directors include: William A. Childers, NSK Canada Inc.; John A. Hegel, Minarik Corp.; James T. Little, NTN Bearing Corp. of America; Robert Ruland, Ruland Manufacturing Co. Inc.; John H.
