Las Vegas, NV — IFPE 2005 has reached an agreement with the Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) that will make PTDA an IFPE 2005 supporting organization.

IFPE is a show devoted to power transmission and motion control, delivered through hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical technologies. IFPE 2005 will be held March 15-19, 2005 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev.

PTDA will organize an exhibit pavilion at IFPE and hold its winter board meeting onsite. IFPE will be the sole U.S. exposition supported by PTDA in 2005. The IFPE PTDA pavilion will feature a broad range of mechanical and electro-mechanical power transmission and motion control products made by PTDA members.

"The addition of the PTDA pavilion underscores the importance of IFPE 2005 as the premier exposition and technical conference devoted to power transmission and motion control through hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical technologies," said Linda Western, executive director of the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA). NFPA is an IFPE co-owner.

Participants in the IFPE 2005 PTDA Pavilion will benefit from the expanded customer opportunities provided by IFPE’s co-location with ConExpo-Con/Agg 2005, the world’s largest exposition for the construction and construction materials industries in 2005.

"IFPE is a great opportunity for PTDA to help its members connect with their customers and industry partners from the pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical power transmission industry,” said Mary Sue Lyon, PTDA executive vice-president. “In addition, many ConExpo-Con/Agg exhibitors are power transmission consumers, creating a synergy in the co-location of the two events that adds to our excitement at being involved with IFPE.”
