Miami, Fla — Entries for SixsigmaIQ’s Six Sigma Excellence Awards are now being accepted. The awards celebrate the best and most innovative Six Sigma projects in four different categories.

SixsigmaIQ has launched the awards to recognize achievements resulting from Six Sigma implementation all over the world. It is the only Six Sigma awards program where industry judges industry.

Awards will be presented to the winners and honourable mentions for each category at IQPC’s Fifth Annual Six Sigma summit Jan. 26-29, 2004, at the Hyatt Regency in Miami, Fla. Guest speaker will be Larry Bossidy, ex-chairman of Honeywell.

A panel of experts from Motorola, Johnson and Johnson, Caterpillar, ABB, Honeywell and Lockheed Martin has been asked to consider entries.

The four categories are:

The Minitab Award for Best Six Sigma project for defect elimination in manufacturing.

The Rath & Strong Award for Best Six Sigma project for defect elimination in service and transactional

Best DFSS project resulting in top line growth

The George Group Award for Best Six Sigma thinking award – New Vision
