Edmonton, AB — Schneider Electric’s Edmonton, Alta., manufacturing facility recently received a ISO 9001:2000 registration.

The ISO 9001:2000 registration indicates that the Edmonton plant — which manufactures Model 6, TMD-2 and Model 4 low voltage motor control centres, enclosed NEMA starters and enclosed variable speed ac drives and soft starters — conforms to ISO 9001-2000 quality standards for engineered industrial control products.

“ISO 9001:2000 principles are key elements in our quality management system,” said Hatem Ahmad, manager of the Edmonton plant. “This system fosters a strong employee commitment to quality and operational excellence. This, in turn, allows our associates to continuously anticipate, identify and meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.”

Schneider Electric’s brands include Federal Pioneer, Merlin Gerlin, Square D and Telemecanique.
