Chicago, Ill. — The Power Transmission Distributors Association’s 2003 Convention will feature a new Service Provider Spotlight. To be held Thursday, Oct. 16, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Spotlight will provide a forum for service providers to showcase their programs to distributor and manufacturer top level executives.
The new Service Provider Spotlight is designed to allow providers of distribution management software, consulting and other services to give in-depth presentations highlighting the features and benefits they offer to prospective customers. To encourage attendee participation, no competing events have been scheduled for the spotlight time slot.
The new feature addresses members’ need to investigate technology and service provider alliance options to reduce their cost to service customers in this price-sensitive market. The spotlight also will allow PTDA to return the convention’s Manufacturer-Distributor Idea Exchange to be exclusively devoted to individual manufacturer-distributor business discussions.
The Service Provider Spotlight is open to PTDA member and non-member service providers; the fee to participate is US$650 for members and US$1,300 for non-members.
The PTDA 2003 Convention will be held October 16-18 at the New Orleans Marriott in New Orleans, La. Organized around the theme "Doing Good Business in Turbulent Times," the convention is the premier networking and educational event for the power transmission/motion control (PT/MC) industry, providing unparalleled networking opportunities, outstanding educational programming and exceptional social events.
Attended by over 450 CEOs and top-level decision-makers from distributor and manufacturing firms in 2002, the convention is a mix of educational sessions on industry trends, distributor-manufacturer meetings and peer networking forums.
