Toronto, ON — Feb. 21, 2002 — Darcor Limited has promoted Rob E. Hilborn from marketing manager to president of the company, where he is responsible for the operations of the company and for establishing its direction and strategy.
His father, Robert (Bob) R. Hilborn, remains as chief executive officer and chairman.
“These are exciting times for our industry, and during the next few years we plan to introduce several innovative technologies to emphasize our role as the leading source of quality casters for industrial, institutional and office users,” Rob Hilborn said.
In another appointment, Bob Pearce assumes new duties as vice-president, corporate development. He formerly held the post of president.
John Ashby, who joined the company last April as sales manager, is responsible for new projects. Lucie Colella, marketing coordinator, is now responsible for day-to-day management of the marketing program.
Darcor manufactures high-performance, ergonomic casters and wheels. “Our partnership approach to solving our customers’ problems is our core strength, and we will continue to develop leading-edge casters and wheels for the most demanding applications,” Hilborn said.
He added that the primary forces behind today’s caster design and development are the increasing concerns for ergonomics and safety. The company’s products blend ergonomic principles with advanced materials, resulting in the low rolling resistance.
