Mississauga, ON — June 6, 2001 — The first meeting of the MEMAC Council of the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters association has been scheduled for June 28, 2001. A general meeting for all sections, it will feature The Hon. Perrin Beatty, CME’s president and CEO, and Dr. Jayson Meyers, CME’s chief economist, as speakers.
“Most importantly,” said MEMAC Council chair Larry Barrett, who is president of Emerson Electric Canada Limited, “we want to receive the members direct input on MEMAC’s future programs.”
The meeting will include a networking luncheon at which the Hon. Bob Runciman, Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development & Trade, has been invited to speak.
